| [ | mood |
| | calm | ] | 2 more days until my vacation from work. Well.. technically its a furlough aka unpaid vacation. I'm catching the only train out of Pittsfield to Boston at 5:30 and my sister is picking me up at South Station. My father is excited to have breakfast with me on Saturday morning. Truth be told so am I. I miss him.
Sat night is Exchange St with chris and Meems, Sunday nothing planned, Monday is lunch with my sister and grandmother. Tuesday lunch with Kim who is a woman I did theatre with back in 2000. Then my presence has been requested by Kelly Bilton and Jon Morse, my best friend from summer camp when I was 15 and my favorite camper respectively. Of course theres Amie and Jack, Melissa, Hal, Hannah and their new baby Lila. Brad (my gay junior prom date) wants to hang out. My sister and cousin Laura have plans for dinner and drinks. My cousin Ben and his wife Suzy just had a baby so I've got to meet the first of the next generation of Johnsons.
My dance card is full.
When I get back, Miss Sarah Russell and I have front row seats to Rufus Wainwright at the Mahaiwie on Friday night. Hopefully, this vacation turns out to be as good as it is shaping up to be. |

You Are Tomato Juice
|

You are unusual and unconventional. Some people find you a bit overpowering.
You're not normal, and that's totally okay with you. You're comfortable in your own skin.
You are outspoken and quirky. There's nothing subtle about you.
And while you're powerful, you're not stubborn. You can be quite flexible and adaptable.

Job security is an illusion. Someone please tell me why I chose NOT to become a pharmacist or a nurse? Who in their RIGHT MIND chooses the arts as an acceptable profession when you are not independently wealthy or married rich?
If I get laid off from another theater, I'm considering it a sign and I'm going to find a new profession. |

I am the person all resumes come to at work. Naturally, before passing them on, I take a peek just to see what qualifications these people have. For the seasonal staff, I check them out on myspace or facebook. For fulltime staff, I just google them. When I was interviewing people for box office help, there were quite a few that never received a call back solely based on the horrifying nature of their profiles. We're hiring a new marketing director since Carolann split. The first resume has come in via email. He seems like a theater lover which is great but I don't think he has enough experience. The red flag for me however, was his email address. Troll_33333@ Now maybe all the letters in Troll stand for something that just happens to spell out Troll accidentally. Maybe he is a trolley enthusiast and those people call themselves "trolls". Somewhat equivalent to "furries". But I'm reaching here. Why is his email troll? My first reaction was "ew... as in like trolling for hot, young twinks?" My second reaction was "Does he eat billygoats?"
I don't know the answer but I'm already put off by him and I barely skimmed his resume. |

You Are An ENTP
|

The Visionary
You are charming, outgoing, friendly. You make a good first impression.
You possess good negotiating skills and can convince anyone of anything.
Happy to be the center of attention, you love to tell stories and show off.
You're very clever, but you are not disciplined enough to do well in structured environments.
In love, you see everything as a grand adventure. You enjoy taking risks for love.
And if things don't work out, you're usually not too much worse for the wear!
You would make a great entrepreneur, marketing executive, or actor.
At work, you need a lot of freedom to pursue your own path and vision.
How you see yourself: Analytical, creative, and peaceful
When other people don't get you, they see you as: Detached, wishy-washy, and superficial

1) Who was your first kiss? I was that little girl who was always kissing boys. Good thing I started gaining weight and had to wear glasses otherwise I firmly believe I would've been pregnant by 8. My first real kiss was with Darrick, on the porch of the dining hall, in secret, during a talent show. If we had been caught, we would've been in a lot of trouble.
2) Who is the last person you kissed? Tim.
3) What is the story of your most romantic kiss? If I can't remember it, does that mean it wasn't that romantic? I've had some great kisses but I'm not exactly sensitive to things like that. I guess I'm still waiting for one that gets the distinction of being the answer to this question.
4) What is the story of your worst kiss? Oh god... he was from Albany. His tongue was like tuna sushi and his breath smelled like milk. So weird!
5) Who do you want to kiss right now? If I said no one in particular that would be a lie but I feel as though a lot of roofies/alcohol would be involved and I'm flat broke at the moment. |

“I do not want to be the leader. I refuse to be the leader. I want to live darkly and richly in my femaleness. I want a man lying over me, always over me. His will, his pleasure, his desire, his life, his work, his sexuality the touchstone, the command, my pivot. I don’t mind working, holding my ground intellectually, artistically; but as a woman, oh, God, as a woman I want to be dominated. I don’t mind being told to stand on my own feet, not to cling, be all that I am capable of doing, but I am going to be pursued, fucked, possessed by the will of a male at his time, his bidding.” |

1. What is your favorite song right now? Why? This Is Heaven to Me - Madeleine Peyroux. I love the glass armonica sound while shes singing. The lyrics are so simple yet beautiful.
2. What genre of music makes you the happiest? I love "chamber pop" but over all.. I'd say its a toss up between Romantic Period classical and 1940's vocal jazz.
3. What would you name your band and what kind of music would you play? Incense and the Peppermints. We'd be kind of like The Murmers meets Stephen Sondheim.
4. What is your favorite lyric of all time? Why? It's never over, my kingdom for a kiss upon her shoulder It's never over, all my riches for her smiles when i slept so soft against her It's never over, all my blood for the sweetness of her laughter It's never over, she's the tear that hangs inside my soul forever
It's a rip in the bustle and a rustle in the hay And I'll pitch the quick fantastic, With flings of confetti and my petticoats away up high. It's a very short way From the fling that's for fun To the thigh pressing un- Der the table. It's a very short day Till you're stuck with just one Or it has to be done On the sly. In the meanwhile, There are mouths to be kissed Before mouths to be fed, And there's many a tryst And there's many a bed, There's a lot I'll have missed But I'll not have been dead When I die! And a person should celebrate everything Passing by.
5. What band/artist could you never live without? Why? Ella Fitzgerald. Her phrasing is perfect. |
